For every order placed with SmartPosti, an automatic parcel code is generated at the time of purchase, which makes the parcel pre-registered for the Sender (i.e., there’s no need to write the destination or recipient’s phone number on the parcel - however the the locker code used for sending the parcel should be written on the package).
When the order is placed, you’ll receive the locker code via email along with the order confirmation. In addition, the locker code is visible under your shop’s orders (from the bottom navigation bar → My Yaga —> My shop orders —> Details —> Parcel Code).
How to send a parcel using the locker code?
Pack the item properly (read more about that on Smartposti's website) and make sure to write the locker code you're using for sending the parcel directly on the package. If the parcel gets lost or the label comes off, the courier company can identify and reroute the parcel based on the information you’ve written.
Go to the nearest SmartPosti parcel machine (note that Yaga parcels can only be sent from touchscreen-enabled parcel machines).
Select on the screen Send parcel —> With door code
Enter the locker code on the parcel machine’s screen.
Place the parcel in a locker of suitable size.
PS! If the selected locker size turns out to be too small, you can change it to a larger one at the machine by pressing “I need a larger locker” —> close the incorrectly sized locker —> choose the correct size —> pay the difference at the machine as instructed. To avoid such situations, familiarize yourself with the locker sizes (see image) and choose the correct size when uploading the item in Yaga.Once the locker code has been used, Yaga’s system will automatically mark your item as dispatched within a short time = the Buyer will receive a notification that the parcel is on its way.
When the parcel reaches its destination, the recipient will receive a message with instructions on how to collect it from the parcel machine.
NB1! SmartPosti parcel machines do not print parcel labels.
NB2! Each individual parcel is linked to a specific parcel code. If the Buyer has placed multiple orders under one parcel code, the entire order must be packed into one parcel. It is not possible to send multiple parcels using the same code or from the same locker.
NB3! The parcel code is active for one month (30 days) from the time of order. After that, the parcel code will be automatically cancelled by the SmartPosti system.
NB4! Parcels can only be sent from touchscreen-enabled parcel machines. Machines with a keypad do not support sending parcels with a parcel code.
